Nashville not only has talented musicians, but also designers. I popped in Council Nashville a few weeks ago and had the best time trying on new brands and learning more about local designers. I found this cape and jeans from Council Nashville. If you are local, I highly recommend stopping by in Hillsboro Village. The owner is so sweet!
I discovered a new brand Emlee who makes these amazing capes. At first I thought they might be a little too edgy for my preppy style. I paired my cape with a simple chambray shirt and ballet flats to give it more of a Sprinkle of Glam feel. Emcee capes are made from old army blankets and are so cozy! Perfect for these in-between seasons when a jacket is too much. I am keeping my eye on the blush colored cape for spring.
THREE// Lysa TerKerust’s Polka Dotted Dress. Lysa’s polka dotted dress is a central point in her home for a very special reason. Her husband says this is the dress she was wearing when he fell in love with her. She framed it in her entry way to remind her where their story started. I love this story and want to create meaningful artwork in my home too. I hope one day we all have a dress like this framed in our homes.
FOUR// Ikea Bookcase Hacks. My new house is still not complete, I am debating on how to handle storage in my office. All of these Ikea hacks have me inspired.
Ever since I bought my new house, I cannot seem to stay off Pinterest. It will be awhile before I can make any large purchases (sorry bank account), but I always love to “window shop” on Pinterest. ONE// Lucite Curtain Rods
I adore the look of these lucite curtain rods. It is a small detail that really brings the room together especially with the polished brass hardware.
Several of my furniture pieces are from college and my first apartment in Nashville. They were pieces I had to buy, not something I loved. In my new house, I only want to purchase items if I love them, like these statement side tables.
After being M.I.A. for a month, I am back! The holidays were incredibly busy and Sprinkle of Glam was pushed to the back burner. I have BIG news to share, I bought a house and moved in last month! I cannot wait to share photos when it is a little more put together, currently I have sheets on the windows and no pictures hung on the walls. You can however see a sneak peek of my new kitchen on my Instagram (@sprinkleofglamblog).
It is freezing in Nashville and I am trying to stay warm with blanket scarves and leggings. These No nonsense zipper leggings are my go to. It is unreal how warm this scarf is and I love the plaid print. A little secret about my booties, they are orthopedic and can be purchased on Amazon. Since I work from home, this is my winter uniform.
TWO// Kiel James Patrick and Sarah Vickers Wedding. The preppy power couple behind Classy Girls Wear Pearls and KJP got married last week at a Christmas tree farm. It was such a beautiful wedding full of sparkly lights and New England charm.
THREE// Butcher and Bee Nashville. My all time favorite sandwich shop in Charleston is opening in Nashville any day now. I cannot wait!
